Citrix and Arrow to drive Europe-wide channel growth

Innovative cloud-based services portal provides simple access for resellers to Citrix SaaS solutions

Gerrards Cross, UK — 2 July, 2013Citrix today announced the appointment of Arrow Electronics Inc. as its first pan-European distributor to further expand the European channel for the SaaS solution portfolio.  As part of the distributor agreement, Citrix SaaS products will be available on the ArrowSphere cloud services platform allowing Arrow resellers to market and sell Citrix SaaS products through their existing webstore or the ArrowSphere white-label webstore functionality.

The ArrowSphere webstore platform, which was launched by Arrow  in July 2012, is currently live in the UK, France, Spain, Germany and Denmark. The ArrowSphere platform will continue to roll out to other markets in Europe.

As the way we work continues to change, people need simple solutions to enable them to get more done, more efficiently. Citrix is providing powerful new ways for people to work whenever, wherever and however they choose. Our agreement with Arrow is an important step in extending our pan-European reach and helping our customers embrace mobile workstyles and new ways of working

Citrix

“We selected Arrow and its ArrowSphere webstore platform because of the highly innovative approach to taking our SaaS products to their reseller and customer community. The ArrowSphere platform allows resellers to customise their webstore or customer view to match the look and feel of their own individual company or brand.”

“We are very pleased that Citrix has selected Arrow as its first pan-European distributor for the SaaS solution portfolio. This is the recognition of our unique channel management capabilities to recruit, enable and develop channel partners” said Laurent Sadoun, president of the Europe, Middle East and Africa region and global services for Arrow's enterprise computing solutions segment. “Citrix SaaS Solutions are ideal for resellers, ISVs and MSPs who are active in the cloud or plan to move into the cloud, and want to offer SaaS products as an extension to their existing portfolios.”

This collaboration is a further step in the systematic expansion and implementation of the Citrix SaaS Advisor (CSSA) programme launched in May. Using a local and regional approach with strategic partners to deliver Citrix SaaS applications as part of a broader solution means it is easier than ever for partners and customers to benefit from Citrix technology.

Key features of the CSSA advisor programme include:

  • SaaS resell and referral rewards programmes for collaboration, support and data sharing with GoToMeeting, GoToWebinar, GoToTraining, GoToAssist, GoToMyPC and Podio
  • Additional ongoing investment in Citrix SaaS advisors with marketing resources, reference designs and best practices
  • Extended API support for integrating Citrix online services into partners’ systems, cloud marketplaces and SaaS aggregators

Together with the enhanced Citrix Solution Advisor (CSA) scheme, the new CSSA programme forms part of the dedicated Citrix Global Channel Programme, designed to support the rapid uptake of cloud services. It will enable partners across Europe to keep pace with the changing ways in which people are working and introduce new audiences to the Citrix portfolio.

Looking ahead, the programme will be expanded to offer additional services and further value-add opportunities to partners around the world. “The agreement with Arrow provides the perfect springboard from which to achieve our ambitious future growth plans,” believes Gratzl.
