Citrix Appoints New Chief Marketing Officer |
SANTA CLARA, CA – Citrix today announced the appointment of Steve Daheb as Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. Daheb joins Citrix from Blue Coat Systems, where he served as CMO and SVP of Business Development. A featured industry speaker, Daheb brings 20 years of senior marketing leadership experience to Citrix, spanning networking, security, virtualization, cloud and mobility markets. Prior to joining Blue Coat, Daheb held senior marketing, sales and business development roles at Emulex, BlueArc (acquired by Hitachi), Brocade and Lucent. He was recently named a Top 10 CMO by the CMO Institute, and was honored by American Business Awards as one of the Top Three Technology Executives of the Year for 2012. Daheb replaces outgoing Citrix SVP and Chief Marketing Officer, Wes Wasson, who recently announced his intent to step down from the CMO role to begin working on plans for a new social entrepreneurship startup focused on helping people impacted by poverty. Wasson will continue to serve as Senior Vice President of Strategy for Citrix into the first half of 2013 to advance Citrix corporate and product strategy and assist with the CMO transition. Steve is an accomplished marketing executive with the breadth and depth of experience we need to lead our marketing teams into the future. We welcome Steve and his family to our family. His reputation as a hands-on, energetic and authentic team player makes him a perfect fit for Citrix.
On behalf of everyone at Citrix, I’d also like to congratulate and thank Wes for his amazing leadership as Chief Marketing Officer for the past six years, driving the market success that’s transformed the company. He has been a role model leader, executive, strategist, human and friend. I’m delighted to have his hand in steering Citrix strategy through the first half of 2013. We’re wishing Wes health, success and good fortune in the admirable and worthy venture he will be pursuing next. About CitrixCitrix Systems, Inc.
