SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Today Citrix announced availability of three new NetScaler® MPX™ appliances. Leveraging the same high-performance NetScaler architecture already powering the world’s largest enterprise data centers, cloud providers and websites, the new NetScaler MPX solutions offer small and midsize enterprises the industry’s most scalable solution delivering applications, desktops and data with the best performance and highest availability. With full pay-as-you-grow support enabling three times faster performance on-demand, all size organizations can seamlessly scale their network without expensive ‘forklift’ appliance upgrades.

These new NetScaler models provide up to six Gbps of application-layer performance, yet are affordable for cost-sensitive deployments. Unlike competitive offerings, every NetScaler appliance supports the full breadth of application delivery controller (ADC) functionality. Additionally, each provides best-in-class performance for SSL, HTTP request processing and concurrent TCP connection support.

  • New hardware design–The new platform leverages the Intel E3-1275 multi-core processor, 32 GB of RAM and a Solid State Drive (SSD) for enhanced reliability. Port configuration options include 6x10/100/1000 and 6x1000 SFP or 6x10/100/1000 and 2x10GE SFP+.

Pricing and Availability

The new NetScaler models include the MPX 8200, MPX 8400 and MPX 8600 with two, four and six Gbps of HTTP throughput, respectively. All models are available now, with pricing starting at $25,000.
