Manage compute, network and storage from a centralized layer
The Alcatel-Lucent CloudBand Management System and CloudBand Node, built on Citrix CloudPlatform powered by Apache CloudStack, combine the power and flexibility of the cloud with the high performance, reliability, and security of the communications network.
As cloud environments become larger in scale and more distributed geographically, management becomes increasingly complex and costly. Cloud operators need a holistic view of the resources in their cloud, including the network, and the ability to manage compute, network, and storage from a single, centralized management layer.
The Alcatel-Lucent CloudBand Management System orchestrates and optimizes services between the communications network and the cloud, while the CloudBand Node provides the computing, storage and networking hardware to host a wide range of cloud services.
The CloudBand Management System utilizes the Citrix CloudPlatform to manage the provisioning and coordination of the hardware infrastructure within each CloudBand Node. Together, both manage orchestration of the cloud network for peak performance.
