Stephen M. Dow

Stephen M. Dow has served as a director of the Company since 1989 and served as chairperson of the Board of Directors from May 2002 to May 2005. Since 1983, Mr. Dow has served as a General Partner of Sevin Rosen Funds, a venture capital investment firm. Mr. Dow serves on the Board of Directors of Cytokinetics, Inc., a publicly traded biopharmaceutical company.

Mr. Dow is chairman of the Strategy Committee and is a member of the Audit, Finance and Nominating and Corporate Governance Committees. The Board of Directors has determined that Mr. Dow is “independent” within the meaning of the Company’s director independence standards and the director independence standards of The Nasdaq Stock Market, LLC.

Mr. Dow attended the “Corporate Governance Program” at Stanford University.
